Woodmont Cabinetry was founded as Western Cabinets in 1953 in Grand Prairie, Texas.  In  those  early  years,  the  company  supplied  stock  cabinetry  to  the  DFW homebuilder market. From its very beginnings, the company held two core beliefs: treat people right and offer a quality product at a good value.

Woodmont Cabinetry is firmly committed to sustainable policies and practices that benefit the environment while enhancing the beauty and quality of our products. We  continually  strive  to  minimize  our  impact  on  the  environment  through  the recycled materials we use and the production processes we have in place. Even our  brochures  and  promotional  materials  are  created  from  100%  post-consumer waste  material.  Through  such  a  commitment,  we  enable  consumers,  builders, architects,  and  designers  to  be  conscientious,  environmental  stewards  of  their  local communities.

Our goal is to recycle 100% of all waste. We currently have a program to recycle cardboard and paper, sawdust from the dust collectors, and wood chips.

  • Our solvents are cooked down to harmless solid and the liquid chemical is regenerated and reused for reducing solvents and clean-up.
  • Our products are finished domestically with low emission stains and varnishes.
  • Our Environmental Stewardship Program certification is maintained based on our adherence to KCMA’s standards in Air Quality, Product Resource Management, Process Resource Management, Environmental Stewardship, and Community Relations.
  • Our processes and practices are evaluated on an annual basis to ensure adherence to the rigid environmental standards.
