Cape Cod Cares for the Troops

Here at Builder’s Choice, a large part of our culture is giving back. We believe that as long as we are in business, one of our top priorities should always be helping where it’s needed in our community. We find such joy in building partnerships with local charities and organizations, and want to share that joy here with you!

We decided to partner up with Cape Cod Cares for the Troops. This is a non-profit organization started in 2005 by 12 year old Dylan DeSilva. Their goal is to find ways to honor our troops for their service, dedication and sacrifices to our country. One thing soldiers face when transitioning is coming home to empty barracks with no supplies, then having to go out and get them on their own. As you could imagine, this makes an already hard transition just that much harder. But with our help, alongside the West Side Food Distribution Center - Cape Cod Cares for the Troops was able to surprise 300 single soldiers with sheets, towels, pillows, toiletries, snacks and waters in Fort Hood. All items they thought they would have to go out and purchase.
